I know you have heard enough about the silly Wii game but it has been a strange happening at our home. No more TV at night, we wii. Last night all my favorite see what the world really is shows came on, well not all, but 3 full hours of them. Well you know, I missed them, of course being the industrious girl I am (NOT!) I recorded them on our handy dandy DVR. Not the TIVO stuff, this one's generic so we don't have to have cable. But handy none the less. Instead of watching mindless television, I played wiith my kids and worked out wii style.
I am really digging the wii workout. Today I hula hooped for 6 minutes. Let's just say, my tummy is screaming, "Sit down you fat girl that's what we do!" But no I have rebelled! I am a wii fit girl under here and I am on the hunt to find her! I am not alone in my wii fit efforts, John can be found for quite some time on the thing, usually playing tennis or boxing. The girls have made a habit of running, yes running, (maybe it will stick). It is the funniest thing... See...
John has also tried is hips at hula hoop.....
Call the police, Momma's speeding!
At least I feel like it because we now have a new laptop! Yeah, go us! After only hand-me-down technology, we have finally reached a place to purchase our own! Now that I am casually doing a post at the kitchen table, able to hang with the family and let you in our lives so easily, I now know why it was so hard to blog before. By now I would have been in the laundry room for and hour, and now I have just been at the table for like 5! Isn't life smoother? I think so.
We have also purchased a Wii. This friends has been the center of our home for two days, kids included. I have watched the girls run for an hour or so side by side, getting along, and exercising! This is too much fun. They each have their own Wii strengths and they run in place so cute! John and I both have logged at least 30 minutes workouts each day. I will say whoever came up with this Wii fit idea was a genius, and must have read my mind. They have done a great job of sticking the carrot in my face. I am an achiever, I like to go to the next level, and now I have to exercise to get there! How cool is that. OK for those of you who already have Wiis, my apologies but I am so pumped by it. I am having fun working out and my kids are enjoying watching me and doing it themselves. I have pushed my calves into submission and taught my back and tummy a thing or two. I have now punched imaginary bags in front of my TV, and worked on my rhythm all at the same time. So fun! My Mom and Dad even came over and bowled with us! Now Ron, time for you and Michelle to come over and bowl, or golf with us! We will have a blast!
Whew, I have just posted a blog in about 30 minutes, so if you see the police heading my way, you will know why. Blazing fast words, and a fist fight in the living room, sounds like a redneck brawl! Well, you know me....

What a weird January...
I have been hacking and coughing all this month. As of today I am finally breathing... PTL. I guess all this rain and the pond beside the pond has stirred up the mold. Now I'm getting a cold. Oh, bother. I also have spend much of this month concerned about my eye health. I have an Optic Nerve Head Drusen, basically a piece of calcified dirt in my optic nerve. It is causing some loss of field vision and the Dr. wanted to make sure that the dirt was the root of the problem and not something else. Well all is well.... I do have to monitor my eyes each year but that's all. During all this I have ended up with reading glasses. This is my 3rd pair of glasses through my life. I think I just look at the computer to long and need some help for a while. Maybe after 37 years, my eyes may be going down hill....
We have also made our first trip to the ER with Boy. A few days ago, I was getting ready for an appointment and I could hear Boy coughing in the other room. He is always coughing because he has stuff in his mouth all the time. But this time it would not stop, so I go get him. He is still hacking and gagging while I turned him over to see if the problem would show itself. Not this time. Jmama was the only girl home and she didn't know what it was so I called the Dr. He said to go get an Xray it see if it was anything... so to the ER we go. After 3 hours, no lunch and nothing on the Xray, we left. If it was anything, we haven't seen it...
I think I'm a Facebook junkie...and boring. I was tagged to post 25 random things about me, it took over a week and at least 4 savings of my draft before I finally came up with 25. Here they are
1. I have 5 names, Brandee Carol Daly Ragan Spohr.
2. I was adopted. My stepdad adopted me so that's why 5 names.
3. My fav color is orange. I just got reading glasses in that lovely color.
4. I love Ernie from Sesame Street.
5. I hate the beach, sand yuck!
6. Feb 14 is my "Jesus day", I will have been saved 10 years on that day.
7. If left on my own, I would not have chosen John. Thankfully God is the best matchmaker. BTW John and I have discussed this. He is far better of a man than I could have picked for myself.
8. I can tell my husband anything! I really mean ANYTHING.
9. I want a Great Dane but it would be like having Clifford with my little house.
10. I don't have cable or satellite. I am one of those effected by the "big switch"
11. I am ultra conservative, exceptions: hair, make-up, jewelry, and I prefer modest clothing. I also like just about any Christian music. I am so conservative that I am about at the point of wishing for a 2nd civil war. Red and blue countries...
12. I love venison! I love my freezer full of a nice deer.
13. I live next door to my folks. Poor hubby.
14. I love to cook, not bake.
15. I like to bass fish, I once competed in tournaments and thought of becoming a pro angler.
16. I am not very trusting, so it looks like I'm not friendly.

19. I have a terrible memory, my paranoia says people think I'm a snob. I'm not, I just can't remember all that you can and I'm afraid you remember the little I do.
20. My boy is all boy, he headbutts, "drives" any thing with wheels, vacuum included, he turns on the tv them comes and sits in John's or my lap, I have heard "he is just a boy" when I notice an unruly little boy but I didn't believe it....until now.
21. Jmama reminds me of my grandmother, she has her OCD, and her stubborness. All qualities that crate on me, probably because I have them too.
22. Smiley was the easiest child ever.... until now, she is sassy and yells alot.... what does that say about me?????? They are often your reflection..... :(
23. I am a stay at home mom, I like being here with the kids but I think I am terrible at home schooling and just getting it all done each day. I think my hubby would rather I did more but I just can't find the time.
24. My mom asked me what I would do first if I were the Pres... I would require the Constitution to be taught in every grade level. By the time kids got to high school, they would learning basically Constitutional Law, like colleges do in law school.
25. I love to work griddlers and play Nerts.
